If you have never heard of Restaurant.com here are the basic facts:
1. The restaurants are usually small, privately/family-owned restaurants.
2. There is usually a minimum purchase required in order to use the gift certificate ($35 is the most common amount that I see. What that means is that you go in, spend $35 on dinner, hand them your $25 gift certificate that you paid $2 for and the balance of the bill. In other words, if your exact total is $35, you will have only paid $12!)
3. Please make sure to tip on the total bill before discount/certificate, not your “net bill”.
4. Most restaurants only allow you to use 1 certificate per month at their establishment.

Thank you!!!! I could NOT come up with something to send my brother’s family on the opposite coast. I just got them $100 of gift certificates to a great restaurant just a few miles from them — for $8.00!!! For that price, I can afford to send them a bit of cash to help pay for the rest of the $10 above the gift certificate. How exciting! Thanks again!
