I’ve been posting the Walgreens for several months now, in anticipation of the Wags near me opening.  They opened about a month ago, but tomorrow is their Grand Opening Event.  I’ve been speaking to the managers (one of you guys told them about this site and they contacted me)  and they have lined up some great deals and events for tomorrow!

First and foremost:  They will be selling the Sunday Mercury Newspaper for only $1 per copy!  I haven’t purchased the Mercury before, so I don’t know if it has the same coupons as the Philadelphia Inquirer, but for those of us who have disappointed that the Dollar Tree stopped carrying the Inquirer, this is great news.  Best of all, Mike (the manager) feels confident that he can make this a weekly deal for us couponers!  Let’s not kid ourselves…Wags has a reputation in the couponing world for being unfriendly towards couponers.  However, it seems that the management of the Limerick, PA Walgreens is eager to greet us with open arms!  (Woo To The Hoo!)

Other Special Deals For the Grand Opening on 7/12/09 - Limerick, PA store only

Bread:  2 for $4

Eggs:  $.79/dozen

Paper Plates:  $.99

$3 off your $10 purchase coupon
(should be available in the store as well in the weekly flyer that came in the mail in our area)

20 free Photo Prints

Early Back To School specials

Special Appearance by SpongeBob (should be there most of the morning)

Special Appearance by the local Fire Company – let the kids see the fire truck and meet the firemen! (scheduled for 11:00am)

And many others!

I will have the weekly Wags Deals breakdown for you later tonight, but for my “super-local readers”, make a point to check out the new Limerick Walgreens tomorrow!

Now if they would only get Webkinz in, I wouldn’t have to schlep to Merrymead!

Mindy,

Pottstown Mercury’s coupons are not as good as the major papers. They are in the smaller circulation. I am a former Pottstownian (shh don’t tell anyone I grew up there)
