Sorry this is late….I didn’t have time to get it done on Saturday and Sunday was a flurry of church, CVS, Acme, friends and football (Too bad for the Eagles but WOOHOO to my beloved Steelers!  The bright side is that I don’t have to worry about being run out of town on a rail during a Eagles/Steelers Superbowl…because I would have cheered for the Steelers!  Don’t expect much out of me on February 1st!)

Anyway……be careful with the ad pricing.  There are some really good prices in there (the BOGOs are good, even with no coupon matchups), but there seem to be a large number of items that are no more than knocking a few pennies off

Page 1

Weight Watchers Smart Ones:  5 for $10 (use the $1/5 from here.  If you attend WW meetings, there are always coupons on the last page of your Tracker)

Hot Pockets:  5 for $10 (use the $.40/1 from the January All You)

Maiers Italian Bread:  BOGO

Giant Chunk or Shredded Cheese:  3 for $5 (this is about as low as Giant ever put them…cheese freezes very easily!)

Top Round London Broil:  BOGO

Fresh Boneless Center Cut Pork Roast:  BOGO

Kunzler Sliced Bacon:  BOGO

Perdue Oven Stufffer Roaster:  BOGO

Florida Strawberries:  BOGO

Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies or Wieners:  BOGO

Berks Breakfast ham Slices:  BOGO

Kunzler Meat Franks:  BOGO

Curly’s Pulled Pork or Chicken BBQ:  BOGO

Boursin Cheese:  BOGO

Dorot Frozen Spices:  BOGO (by the way – these things are WONDERFUL.  I got turned on to them at Trader Joe’s and with the BOGO sale they are about the same price as TJ’s.  They are little “ice cubes” of spices and they are great when you have a recipe that calls for a tablespoon or two of fresh chopped herbs, but you don’t want to spend $4 for the whole bunch of herbs.  I’m not a fan of them for use in pasta salads, but for recipes where you just need the flavor and don’t need the “leafiness” of the herbs, they are great!)

Page 3

Jones Golden Brown Sausage Links or Patties:  BOGO (use the $1/2 peelies that I always seem to find at Giant)

Tyson Chicken Nuggets:  2 for $6 (use the $1/2 from the 1/4 & 10/19 SS)

Gold Star Cooked Cocktail Shrimp(100 ct):  BOGO (I’m hoping this is a typo, because 100ct/lb shrimp doesn’t sound like “cocktail” shrimp…more like itsy bitsy “salad” shrimp!)

Pillsbury Deal:  Get $4 off instantly wyb 5 Pillsbury Refrigerated Baked Goods

Don’t forget to get your $1.50 off any Pillsbury Pizza Crust from Giant, which can be combined with a manufacturers coupons.  Details here (I’m not sure if this is included in the deal, anyone checked it out yet?)

Find coupons for Pillsbury items here here here here here and in the 1/18, 1/4, 12/14, 12/7, 11/23,  11/16, 11/9

Daisy Sour Cream:  3 for $5 (use the $.50/1 from the 12/14 & 1/18 SS)

Thomas’ English Muffins:  BOGO

Arnold Whole Grain Classic Bread:  BOGO (use the $.55 from the 11/9 & 1/4 SS)

Mindi,

I love your site! I’m a fairly new couponer, and I’ve been following your site for a few months now. As a born and raised Pittsburgher now residing in suburban Philly, I just wanted to reach out and thank you for all the great money saving tips and cheer on the Steelers in the Super Bowl! HERE WE GO STEELERS!

I’ve learned to be wary of the deals that just say “save with bonus card” instead of “save $X.XX with bonus card.” thanks for the write up.

Just curious, how do you freeze cheese? (As you mentioned it in your post.)

4 Mindi January 21, 2009 at 8:54 pm

Jen: I just throw it in the freezer (unopened)
Just make sure that you thaw it in the refrigerator and not on the counter to avoid condensation in the package!
