Ok – and I kinda like SuperFresh today, but I just couldn’t bring myself to put that in the title!
I’m working on the Giant post, but I spent the morning shopping and dealing with a 2-year old who is doing a pretty good imitation of Velcro…and a 5-year old who somehow managed to miss getting on the Kindergarten bus coming HOME from school (don’t ask me….I don’t know how!). I’ll finish up & publish the Giant post in a few hours!
Here’s what I got:
At SuperFresh
- 9 L’Oreal Kids Shampoo/Conditioner @ $1.99
- 15 Colgate Toothpaste @$1.49 each (most will be donated to St. Vincent De Paul)
- 6 Nesquik @$1 (I’m a sucker for my kids)
- 2 dozen Land O Lakes Brown Eggs @ $3.19
- 4 Green Giant Valley Steamers @ $1.25
- 2 Dole Mandarin Oranges @ $1.49
- 4 Healthy One 97% Lean Turkey (5oz) @ 3 for $5
- 11 Healthy One Ham (8 oz) @ 2 for $6

Total Paid: $3.88
(oh – and while the meat manager was thrilled at another couponer and I raiding the Healthy Ones AND he knew that we were both using triple coupons, the cashier told me that I was going to put her out of a job….nice, huh? I think she needs to read this post)
Please note: in a few cases, the tripling resulted in an overage. SuperFresh is “hit or miss” with overages, depending on who at corporate is programming the computers (I guess), and they seem to “fix” the items during the week as they catch them. While I got more than a few overages, please don’t count on them!
On to Acme

Believe it or not, I could have done better had I decided to buy Total Cereal. They are 4 for $10 and I have $.75 coupons. However, when I got there I found that only “regular” Total was included in the sale and I don’t need any more of that. I was hoping to get the Cinnamon Toast Total. Can’t win them all!

Awesome job! I have to admit I’m jealous of the triple coupons. I have to drive over an hour to get to a grocery store that doubles. I’m heading out for my bargain hunting trip on Wednesday and I super excited because this will be my first trip and I spent yesterday figuring out the deals I am getting! :)
great job!!!
i big on using coupons too. although the stores here only do double and they put a $1.00 limit on them. as in they only give you up to a dollar off – no doubling of $1.00 coupons. my totals were much less before they started this policy. oh well, i still do what i can and having things on hand when i need them is so fabulous.
omg! great DEALS…but I really must know…HOW or WHERE do you store all that?!
Coley Moley (cute name ;-) ):
When we finished the basement, my husband had 2 pantries built for me. One is just for serving pieces and china (I have issues with always having to have the right serving piece for everything) and the other is for food.
As for frozen foods, we have a chest freezer in the garage.
Mindi – I know you like pampers so, I bought 3 packs of pampers tonight and got the $15 catalina plus another $5 one. I guess it’s a glitch because I thought the $5 catalina deal was for the big boxes.
TRIPLE COUPONS?!?!?!?!??!
No fair!!!
They don’t even double them here in Chicago…
Sara: If it makes you feel better, SuperFresh only has Triples about every 4-6 weeks, they don’t take Internet Printables, and very often there aren’t a whole lot of good matchups when they do have them. This was just an extra-good week!
i had lots of fun tonight at superfresh, i walked around for about 2 hours and did 3 transactions cause of thier 4 same coupons policy, it wont triple after 4, i got lots of same stuff as you for free and then lots of really cheap things i wanted to use for stockpile, i took pix and added it all up. with my bi-weekly grocery list i spent oop 90.45 and saved 273.87 all together, so not too shabby, got lots of stuff hubby and the kids wanted to
i was in kid isle trying to figure out what wipes i wanted to buy and woman next to me was buying kid shampoo and i was like excuse me, i don’t want to bother you, but i have coupons for free shampoo would you like to use some, i don’t need 10 bottles. and she was so happy to take it, it made her day, and said she hopes to do the same one day. i love doing that stuff
I’ve always been able to use more then 4 coupons of the same and they do automatically triple for me. I used 9 of the Eggo coupons on Sunday and had no problem.
Kimmie & Stacey: I’ve always heard that SuperFresh limits the triples to 4-like coupons per transaction but I’ve never had a problem, both at the store that Stacey and I are near and 1 other. I’m 99% sure that, like many grocery chains, Super Fresh leaves that up to the discretion of the manager
Kimmie: my SuperFresh purchase was 1 transaction…even all 15 Colgate coupons tripled.
And if you ever feel bad about doing multiple transactions, just say to the cashier “Sorry about the split transactions, but I have to because you only double the first” I say it all the time at Giant (but mainly because I hate using their self-checkouts…the machines in my Giant just do NOT like me!)
i did appologize to the cashier, it was little before close so they weren’t busy. and i let this one guy go ahead of me. his cart was much fuller then mine but i said please so ahead, i will be making multiple transactions, i can’t. maybe next time i’ll try more then 4Q per sale. i didn’t want to push it and have to make her take stuff off. thanks
anyone shop at yardley pa? doesn’t really seem like, they had alot of free stuff left. i know there are other couponers around through, they wipe out cvs so fast lol
