Thanks for the tip about Dollar Tree. I’m going to have to see if there is one really closeby to me. This is an awesome coupon week. My coupon binder was EMPTY after new years but now it is much fuller with just two copies of today’s paper.

Lori: So far, I’ve been in Dollar Trees in 3 different states and they all sold them.

HOWEVER, when I was in Connecticut, the Dollar Tree copies only contained 1 of the 3 scheduled inserts that week (and I checked every copy they had to be sure), so you are going to want to check before you plop down the money.

If you do’t have a Dollar Tree, or they don’t carry the full schedule of inserts, check other places. Other Dollar Stores may carry them, or it may even be cheaper to buy the paper at a grocery store (a few around here take 15% off all newspapers) instead of a WaWa/7-11.

Wow! I am definitely excited to get the paper. I wish I had a Dollar Tree close to me. Hopefully my Brother-in-law doesn’t sell all the papers at their gas station tomorrow, maybe he’ll give me the inserts. :)

Hadias: When I started this site, and picked the name, it was going to be about EVERYTHING…parenting, saving, shopping, etc. Then I realized that I am just one person and there was no way I could cover everything while still maintaining a life. I also realized that if there is one thing I don’t know…it’s everything! But I DO know how to save money and as far as I am concerned, ALL moms need to know that! Thanks for your kind words!

Stacey: So you were the one who was there right before me! I got to the register with my 15 copies and she said that someone was just there buying 12! By the way – thanks for mentioning my site to her. She asked if I also looked at “that website” and I just laughed and said “I am that website!”. I gave her my card and told her about the Acme deal and she seemed excited about the idea of doing the deals as well.

As for the coupons being different, I’ve never noticed a difference either (there have been times when I went on Saturday and Sunday to get papers)

This morning the lady at our Dollar Tree said that the paper delivery guy mentioned this morning that the coupons in the Saturday paper are often different then the Sunday paper. They’ve always been the same in the papers I’ve bought on both a Saturday and a Sunday or Monday.

I’ve recently subscribed to your blog and pondered the name “Mom’s Need to Know” and it’s meaning.

Today the meaning settled in on me. The tip you shared about buying the newspaper at $1 tree is great. If my $ Tree sells them I’ll save $0.50 a copy.

I usually only purchase 1 and then get 2 additional insert from my MIL.

I have seen the difference in my stockpiling and savings with just three sets of inserts. I think I’ll up my number to six this Sunday.

I’m a Mom that needed to know about $1 Sunday papers.
