Don’t forget to go here to print off your coupons! Coupons.com has restocked and there are plenty of new coupons to help you do the deals this week!
A great week, but you may have to wait until Saturday or Sunday to take advantage of the best deal: A $15 Catalina deal wyb $30 in participating products. There are FIVE inserts in the paper this weekend and they are chock full of coupons for General Mills products. There will also be coupons for many of the sale items this week that I am not listing in this post, mainly because I would be typing until Saturday if I did that! I’ll list what I see as the best deals and come back to this post with more match-up if I can!
To help you plan this deal better, I am going to get my weekly Coupon Insert Preview out at some point on Friday (rather than my regular schedule for it of Saturday at 9:00am). Be sure to check back for it!

Page 10 – THE CATALINA DEAL
I intend to do these deals several times, rolling the Catalina for each one. Since the coupons in the 1/4 inserts will be a major factor in these, I’ll post pictures and let you know my scenarios on Sunday or Monday. For now, go here here here here here and hereto find the printables to match up with this deal! (edited to add: I have to get SuperFresh and CVS up first, but I am going to try to do a separate post with possible scenarios because I am not going to get a chance to go to the store until Monday. The most important things to remember is that these deals ARE “Mix & Match”. You do not need to stay within the same price category to get the deal. Also – if you are going to roll the Catalinas, make sure that your very first transaction is the one that results in the least amount of OOP costs…see my response in the comments for more explanation)
Coupons for the $10 items and the Tide were in the 12/14 P&G

Wow, I am so glad I found your blog! I shop at Acme and this was a most helpful post! I can’t wait to see how you roll your Catalina’s….Thanks for all your research and spreading the wealth!!
This is the first time I’ve been excited about an Acme ad in a while. I can’t wait to see your Cat scenarios. I’m trying to figure out if the Pampers will be a good deal and then roll that into another deal.
One question… when do the Cats usually expire? Do you get 2 weeks, a month, longer?
Lydia: happy to do it!
Jennifer: the Pampers deal isn’t the best, but it’s pretty good. If you buy 3, you do spend $30, but then you get $15 back (and if you have $1 coupons from the 12/14 P&G, you can reduce your costs). If you are going to do any of the other deals, I would suggest doing the ones for which you have the coupons that will result in the least OOP costs and save the Pampers deal for the end when you can use a $15 Catalina to help pay for the Pampers
Example: if you bought 8 copies of the paper today, your first transaction could be 8 boxes of Total Cereal ($16) and 6 boxes of Bisquick ($15) for a total of $31. Use 8 Total Coupons ($12 after doubling) and 6 Bisquick Coupons ($7.20 after doubling). Pay $12.80 and get $15 in Catalinas. THEN buy the Pampers. Get 3 of them, use 3 $1 coupons from the 12/14 P&G and the $15 in Catalinas. Pay $13 for your pampers and get another $15 in Catalinas!
In both examples, you have pulled $27 out of your wallet, but by doing to Total/Bisquick offer first, you have 8 boxes of cereal, 6 Boxes of Bisquick AND the Pampers for $27 (as opposed to just Pampers if you do it first)
Also, keep in mind that all of these deals are “Mix & match”. You DO NOT have to stick within price categories to get the deal. Anything on that page (except that very bottom row that isn’t highlighted in yellow) that gets you to the $30 threshold will work!
Hope this helps!
I had (3) $5 Iams catalinas that printed out w/ prior Acme transactions. I’m glad I saved them b/c I just used them on the spend $30 get $15 back deal. If you have any Iams catalinas, here’s what you do:
1. pick up (3) bags of Iams (as listed in the sale ad)= $30
2. use (3) $5 Iams catalina coupons
3. pay $15 out of pocket and get $15 in catalinas good on your next purchase (I was given (3) $5 catalinas)
4. bonus- if you are doing the P&G promo, this deal gets you more than halfway to your $50 :)
What dog owner doesn’t love FREE dog food?!?!!?
Thanks Jessica! Good to know that they are giving 3 $5 Catalinas (like they have in previous deals) instead of 1 $15!
Thanks for the tips, Mindi! ACK! So many good deals this week!! I need to hit CVS tomorrow as well and then will figure out my Acme deal.
I ended up not doing the Cat deal at ACME this week. I surprised even myself, but I misplaced my 10% off my next shopping trip coupon from the pharmacy and couldn’t bring myself to put the money out without it. I “lose” about two coupons a year, and here I am off to a great start! Oh well.
Though I did do the salad/banana deal with one coupon and got 1.75 lbs. for $1.38 and they took off the full $1.60. Better thing happened with the smart start cereal/milk deal (used $1 off coupon). This actually saved me more than I thought… The ad says 1/2 gal of milk which cost $2.09 but when it rang up I got $3.99 off which is what a full gallon would have cost. I didn’t look at it until I left the store because I wanted to be home for the game (Go Eagles!) but if you haven’t gone yet, see if you can get a whole gallon of milk instead. Also, if you are a vegetarian like me there was Lightlife coupons in the inserts today and the deli slices are on sale 2/$5. They’ll be my treat for the week. That’s not at all sad! Ha.
I just stumbled on this over at HCW:
The fine print on the catalinas says “Not valid on P&G products” so there is to be no discussion of rolling these to buy more P&G items. Any such discussion will be subject to warnings/infractions at the discretion of the moderators.
So, no rolling into the P&G stuff:(
Also, 2 questions…
Are your deals working off the shelf prices or sale prices?
Does Acme double IPs? Can’t remember
Thanks!
Jen
Jen,
Yes, my Acme store in Maryland doubles IPs.
